Footprints in the Sand

We started August with a trip back to Florida.   John had to go for business, so CJ tagged along to visit with family and friends.   It had been a year since we moved and we were excited to re-visit our old stomping grounds.
As we borrowed the car from CJ's sister, we got the tutorial on how to drive the car and use the convertible feature by our  5 yr old nephew, Macklin.
Yes, it was kinda weird to go back and drive your old car.
(and for it to still have your name on it)
John got to visit with his old truck also.

We had brunch with a small group of our friends,
Followed by lunch with a large group of family and friends.

It was an amazing turnout, with over 50 friends and family members showing up.  We enjoyed laughing, hugging and catching up with all of them.  We truly feel missed and loved.

We spent the rest of the week spending more time with family and friends, and enjoying food and drinks from some of our favorite places in Cocoa Beach.

While John was working CJ spent time visiting friends, getting pampered by her friends at the salon, and quiet time at the beach taking pictures of the beautiful scenery.

We got to enjoy some beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Well, the week was over and John had to head back to the UK to work, while CJ got to stay on for a few more days.

We had a fun "girls night in", with a supermoon, cupcakes, loads of laughs and ending with a sunrise.

The following days were spent with coffee on the beach at sunrise, a few beach days, and breakfast, lunches and dinners with family and friends
We had a great time visiting with everyone and look forward to our next visit.

We left our footprints in the sand and with memories in our hearts.
